Sunday was our last day trooping Dad around on our little 'play dates'. We got to meet up with Nevada and Gemma once more, and my cousin, Melissa, came up from Kaohsiung to see us once last time before we leave for Canada. We had a great time at the sand pit once again...
Later Sunday evening we met up with all of Vin's family for dinner at a really nice restaurant. There was even a garden with birds, fish, and frogs to keep Atticus entertained (we all rotated Atticus duty so we all had a chance to eat and visit).
We got up bright and early to take Dad to the airport Monday. Funny to think we'll see him in a couple days; made saying good bye much easier. Atticus was itching to get down and run, and at one point just took off towards the security gate. We thought he was running after Dad as he had just gone thru it, but in actuality he was running towards his most favorite thing (apart from balls)...
We visited our dear friends, Jen, Tony, Hunter and Helena one last time yesterday. Jen made us this absolutely fantastic book of photo memories that we will cherish deeply. Thank you so much, Jen, for being such a wonderful friend to me. Our boys were such good little buddies and it was always such fun to watch them grow and play together. We will miss the Clark family so much!
I got Atticus to bed at a decent time tonight for the first time since Dillon was born (or so it feels). Dillon doesn't get to swim as much as Atticus did so I took this opportunity to let him have a bit of a paddle. I couldn't believe how long and hard he kicked; probably 20 minutes (he zonked right out after).
So, it's out last night here before we leave for the great white North. The packing is almost done, and what a process that has been, and I think everything is pretty much in order. Silas will go to dog school for the month, and Odus is already at his vacation spot for the month.
Thanks for reading. We'll catch you on the other side...
